The Lourdes Mini

In addition to the two standard vehicles, ACROSS owns an additional vehicle with a different configuration called the Mini.  It is based in Lourdes and is for group use to provide transport in and around the town and on sightseeing tours further afield.

As you can imagine a 15m Jumbulance would be difficult to manoeuvre around the narrow streets of Lourdes and the mountain roads of the Pyrenees, and this is where the Mini comes into its own.

A versatile vehicle it has 18 fixed seats and spaces to clamp a combination of wheelchairs and trolley beds.  It is fully air conditioned and in addition it has a drinks machine and a fully accessible toilet .

An ACROSS Group enjoy an outing in the Lourdes Mini

Many groups use the Mini to visit villages high in the Pyrenees, such as Gavarnie, nearby Bartres, the hypermarket in Tarbes and some even organise a day trip to the seaside and visit Biarritz, the playground of the jet set!

The use of the Mini is free in and around Lourdes and as far as Bartres, but a small group charge is levied for trips further afield.

The Mini is dedicated to the Friends of ACROSS and a roll of honour containing the names of all the current Friends is maintained in the vehicle.
