A Jumbulance is a custom-built coach ambulance. The ACROSS fleet has been especially constructed by VanHool one of the world’s leading coach manufacturer, to exacting standards to ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers, particularly those with disabilities.

The newest standard Jumbulance, costing £375,000 and dedicated to the memory of Pope John Paul II was launched in April 2007 and augments two existing Standard Jumbulance vehicles dedicated to the memories of Cardinals Tom Winning and George Basil Hume. All three were enthusiastic supporters of the Jumbulance.

Each Standard Jumbulance has a team of 2 professional drivers who take it in turns to drive for up to 4 hours each. Between shifts, the drivers sleep on board the Jumbulance in their own special cabin. Construction, maintenance and operation of all Jumbulance vehicles are to the highest safety standards. The comfort and safety of our passengers is paramount at all times and all driving is done within the EU Driving Regulations.
